Our Product
Contracting takes longer than it should, which significantly impacts businesses’ top and bottom lines. ThoughtRiver is changing this. We are the global leader in AI-enabled contract review, working with multinational clients and major law firms to radically reduce the time it takes them to review and negotiate contracts. Our platform automatically analyses and assesses contracts for risk, meaning they get to signature faster. We are on a mission to accelerate the world’s contracts and are looking for people to join our high-performing team.
Your Mission
Reporting to the VP, Product, the Product Designer will work with the product and engineering teams who are defining an exciting and market-leading product strategy. The Product Designer is our user experience and design champion.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Immerse yourself in the world of our customers. Conduct user research and set design requirements based on what you’ve learned.
- Lead the product design function, building on the foundations of our current product design practice and bring others along with you
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including engineering, design, and marketing) to create lovable product experiences that help the user get the job done
- Collaborate with the product team to identify opportunities for product or feature enhancements
- Stay up to date on industry trends, market conditions, and user preferences
- Iterate existing designs to meet industry or consumer needs
- Present product design ideas to management, customers, and external partners as necessary
What you'll need to succeed:
To successfully execute the role of Product Design Lead, you will need the following skills and traits:

You have 2-5 years’ experience working on a product design team, preferably with AI-driven software platforms and systems in the SaaS/B2B space

You have experience collaborating with remote, cross-functional teams

Intuitive experience identifying customer needs beyond the prominent features and functionality

Some experience working in a fast-paced, start-up environment preferred, but not required

Good level of communication skills both written and verbally

Very high attention to detail and organizational skills

Critical thinker and excellent problem-solving skills

Evidence of being resourceful, a self-starter, and showing initiative

Passion for building lovable product experiences

Experience with key toolsets – Figma, Material UI components, Zero Height, Maze, Dovetail, Mural, Pendo, MixPanel, Atlassian (Jira & Confluence)
